On Sunday, Xbox Cloud Gaming suffered an unexpected outage, with more than 700 users logging issues on Downdetector. Although the service dashboard continued to display an “online” status, players across social media complained of connectivity failures and inability to load their games.
Gamers turned to platforms like Twitter and Reddit to share screenshots and firsthand accounts of broken streams and stalled sessions. Even as the official status page showed no problems, the flood of reports made clear that many were unable to connect to Microsoft’s cloud servers.
One frustrated player wrote on X: “@XboxSupport xbox cloud gaming is down but says it’s up and running on your site wtf is happenin? Finally get some time to play and now I can’t fix it.” Another added, “Welp afternoon stream is either going to be an evening stream or cancelled, xbox cloud gaming is down. and the live status is still green.”
